Fine Jewelry
Our fine jewelry is made from solid 14k gold.
Solid gold is a great choice if you're looking for a lifetime piece you can wear everyday and everywhere! To care for your fine jewelry and keep its shine, wash with gentle soap and warm water or use a nonabrasive jewelry cleaner specifically designed for gold. A soft-bristled toothbrush can also help in hard to reach areas. Rinse well and dry fully with a soft, lint free cloth.
14k Gold Vermeil
Our vermeil pieces are 14k gold plated with 2.5 microns of plating over sterling silver.
To clean, use lukewarm water and soft liquid soap. Rinse using new cloth and water. Once your jewels have been carefully dried with a clean, soft cloth store them in a pouch or in a jewelry box wrapped in a soft cloth. Avoid contact with perfume, hand sanitizer, or other chemicals.
14k Gold Plated
Our gold plating is 3 microns when the industry standard for plated jewelry is closer to 1 micron.
Plated jewelry requires delicate care to maintain its finish over time. Exposure to water, lotions, perfumes, hand sanitizers, and everyday wear/stacking of jewelry can cause natural fading or wear. To extend the longevity of your piece, we recommend removing it before showering, swimming, or exercising and avoiding contact with harsh chemicals. When not in use, store your jewelry in a dry place, ideally in a soft pouch or a jewelry box, to prevent scratches and tarnishing. To clean gently rub the surface of your plated jewelry using a soft jewelry cloth to help restore shine. Do not use a polishing cloth as this will strip away the plating.
Sterling Silver
All of Minnie Lane’s silver jewelry is sterling silver.
Add a few drops of liquid dish soap to warm water. Soak jewelry in the solution for 5 to 10 minutes and use a soft-bristled brush, such as a toothbrush, to clean any crevices. After, rinse jewelry in warm water and to dry, gently rub jewelry with a silver cloth or microfiber towel.
